James Taylor’s
voice is amongst the most recognised in popular music. Over the course of
his career he has earned 40 gold, platinum and multi-platinum awards for
a timeless catalogue of hits which include “Carolina in my Mind”,
“Something in the Way She Moves”, “Fire and Rain”,
“Shower the People”, “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By
You)”, “Handyman”, “Your Smiling Face”, and
the Carole King penned “You’ve Got A Friend”. He last
toured Australia in 2003, and he’s unlikely to tour here with his
full band in the near future...

Leigh James has won 4 North Coast Entertainment
Industry (Dolphin) Awards for songwriting in the genres of funk, pop,
country and gospel since 1991, and supports include Shane Howard, Graeme
Connors, Kate Ceberano, James Morrison, Renee Geyer, Marcia Hines, Brian
Cadd & The Black Sorrows…

Leigh has been following Taylor’s
career keenly for 30 years... and in that time has dedicated a large part
of his musical education to listening, singing and playing his music.
